Misfortune fell on him

Last month I wrote the blog post about Mr. Havoc who whistled to the lady and transferred to other working place.

Yesterday his ex-supervisor Mr. Act told me that he passed away few days ago. The conversation were as follow:
Mr. Act:" The ex-cleaner Mr. Havoc met with accident and passed away."
Coolingstar9:" Very sad news, he died so young 40 over years old."
Mr. Act:'" He drank a bottle of alcohol and then rode his bicycle home, on the way home, his bicycle was collided with the car.'
Coolingsta9:" Life was unpredictable, wish him rest in peace."

Why misfortune fell to him, I believe he might doing many bad deeds not just whistling girls.
If he behaved properly in every area, he wouldn't have encountered such misfortune.

My view:
Now many people are confusing good and bad. A teacher said:" Many people, their hearts are dead and no cure already."
But I believe people who see this blog are not included in the " dead lists ".

Keep on learning

Recently I saw the special report about the good teacher Mr. Quek on the local TV. I found the story was ready interesting and like to share it here.
Mr. Quek has been teaching in the ITE-Institute of technical education for many years. In Singapore, students can study courses in ITE if they are unable to cope in the main stream schools, this is ready good so that they can learn some technical skill. But If their results in ITE are good, they can further study in Polytechnic and university. Mr. Quek goes extra miles to teach those weak students after school. He always phone their parents to monitor their progress, no wonder students call him " dad ". Many ex-students always greeting cards for him. I salute Mr. Quek for being the outstanding teacher.
The other inspiring story touched me also.
An over-age student Lee Xuan Man who was almost unable to complete her secondary school finally becomes "the national model of Singapore Chinese Teachers" with her undaunted spirit and and strong will to learn. She is now 48 years old, was one the graduates of Hwa Ren Secondary School. 23 years ago, when Lee was 25 years old, she joined the class of Form 3 with the recommendation of her sister-in-law Liao, was the principal of the school, despite the fact that she was ten years older than her classmates.
Although Lee only had primary school qualification, with her iron will to learn, Lee successfully completed her high school education and pursued her studies at the National Taiwan Normal University for a Bachelor degree. She graduated from the university at the age of 34 and then contributed her teaching services for two years at Hwa Ren Secondary School. Since 1999, she has pursued a teaching career at Singapore Millennia Institute for the past 11 years.
With her outstanding teaching skills and innovative teaching method, she has become the "National Model of Singapore Chinese Teachers" which led to local media coverage.
Lee's father passed away when she was young. After completing her primary school education, she stepped into the society to work for the following 12 years, during which she worked as a waitress, petrol station attendant, domestic help, factory and so on. she later returned to school to finish her secondary education at the age of 25.
She said during the interview that after completing her primary school education in Port Dickson, she went to Melaka, KL and Singapore to make a living and thought she would not be able to complete her studies ever.
However, her sister-in-law knew of her desire to continue pursuing her studies and had successfully convinced Hwa Ren School to give her a chance to be an overage student in Form 3.
During the first year, her tuition fees and expenses were sponsored by her sister-in-law and she later received a scholarship from the school for three years.
"After my enrolment, I only failed my first maths test once, obtaining only 20 marks. Later my results had improved and I managed to complete my high school education without having to stay back."
Lee has now settled down in Singapore and continues to pursue her postgraduate studies while being engaged in counselling courses. She also doubles up as a counsellor for prison inmates as well as their Chinese teacher.
When studying in Taiwan for her Bachelor Degree in Chinese, she managed to complete her four course with a part-time job. In the morning, she distributed newspapers in the hostel while in the afternoon, she worked at a restaurant and at night, as a telephone operator.
Wow, learing is never ending.

My view:
The ancient saint could ready gave us the good reminder.
These type of improper act we must not do.
We must be the kind people. We should know what is right and wrong. Bravely establish the mindset-as long as that is bad act, do not do it.

Let's study the part six of Tai Shang Gan Ying Pian.

a. Insentient to favors received,
b. they remember their hatred and are never satisfied.
Nos 11,
a. They hold in contempt the lives of Heaven's people.( Refer to our world ).
b. They agitate and disturb the public order.
Nos 12,
a. They patronize the unscrupulous and do harm to the inoffensive.
Nos 13,
a. They murder men to take their property,
b. or have them ousted to take their places.
Nos 14,
a. They slay the yielding and slaughter those who have surrendered.
b. They malign the righteous and dispossess the wise.
My view:
Most of you want to have meaningful life. With the right mindset, all can acheive this objective because we all have the potentials. With some guidance, we all can live happily. From nos 10 to nos 14 tell us what bad things we must not do.
Through sharing, I believe all can learn something valuable.
Be the " normal human being " is what human being must do.

High qualification but poor character

The scholar Mr. Wong expelled from the university because he had been found guilty of owning child pornography videos. His gross misconduct led him losing the scholarship as well. He suppose to be the teacher after graduation.
He had also been sentenced to six months' imprisonment by the UK court. He has also been disqualified from working with children.
This 23years old is not suitable for teaching kids because he never show good examples.
Nowadays, people with high qualification not necessarily they are people of good character unlike ancient time.
What is your view?

Stealthily they despise their superiors and parents.

My view:
Some bad people always like to do cruel things to others or things out of greed, hatred and craziness. They always like to hurt others out of jealousy. They never show respect to their own parents, superiors. Their mindset totally do not have any elements of goodness. This type of people not only bring misfortunes to themselves but also cause a lot of troubles to the society and their own country and the whole world.
My dear friends, I hope you are not this type of people. If yes, then you have to quickly delete this type of corrupted mindset, do not wait any longer.

Tai Shang Gan Ying Pian

To prevent misfortunes, we must know the Description of Evil-Doers and do our best not to do that.

My view:
In this world, some people always have the evil mindset, they always like to do immoral things that we can read all their nonsenses in daily newspapers.
These people think that they have high capabilities after doing all the evil things. I see so many people had eaten their own fruits. These people indeed were the most pitiful people, they had never realize that every action has the reaction. Because of that, they do what they like but finally they are the own have to face the music and have the great suffering.
The great reminder is to adopt the mindset of righteousness.

Wow, as the human we all have the brain. We are supposed to do " HUMAN " things, not " beast " things.
But so many people just like to do " beast " things. Logically they will become beasts one day.

2. With a compassionate heart turn toward all creatures.
3. Be faithful, filial, friendly, and brotherly.
4. First rectify thyself and then convert others.
a. Take pity on orphans, assist widows;
b. respect the old, be kind to children.
4. Even the multifarious insects, herbs, and trees should not be injured.
5. Be grieved at the misfortune of others and rejoice at their good luck.
6. Assist those in need, and rescue those in danger.
a. Regard your neighbor's gain as your own gain,
b. and regard your neighbor's loss as your own loss.
7. Do not call attention to the faults of others,
a. nor boast of your own excellence.
8. Stay evil and promote goodness.
a. Renounce much, accept little.
8. Show endurance in humiliation and bear no grudge.
a. Receive favors as if surprised.
9. Extend your help without seeking reward. (253-257)

Wow, so many virtues in this part four. I think it is good to have as more as possible. Why not? Why you always want to do bad deeds? Why you always so stubborn? Can you sit down and think, why not accumulate virtues and merits and leave this world smilingly?

Do not treat the kid as king or queen

Yesterday while I was about to enter into the train station, I heard the conversation as follow:
The small kid about 7years old talked to the mother loudly :" Mom, carry for me the water bottle. "
Mother:" How can I carry for you, you should be independent. If you don't want to carry the water bottle, then no water for you to drink. "
The mother was very persistent and never spoilt the child. This was ready the live example indeed. This mother knew the ways to cultivate the kid. So, if parents spoil the kids, then they will surely getting some " awards " in future.
Let's see an other example that the other mom who always spoil her kid, what award she had received.
The real story was happened in China. There was the parents who always spoil their kids , they bought anythings that the kid had demanded. One day, the mother prepared the cup of hot water for the kid in the morning. The kid simply carried the cup and drank. The kid was so angry and uttered the words : How come you give me the hot water, you want to kill me, isn't?.
Immediately the kid poured the hot water towards his mother.
Who's faults? I think parents needed to be blamed for that. So, please do not treat your kids like kings or queens.

You are monitored every moment beyond your imagination.
Further, there are the three councilor;
spirit-lords of the northern constellation,
residing above the heads of the people,
recorders of men's crimes and sins,
cutting off terms of from twelve years to a hundred days.
Further, there are the three body-spirits
that live within man's person.
Whenever Kêng Shên day comes,
they ascend to the heavenly master
and inform him of men's crimes and trespasses.
On the last day of the month
the Hearth Spirit,: too, does the same.
Of all the offences which men commit,
the greater ones cause a loss of twelve years,
the smaller ones of a hundred days.
These their offences, great as well as small,
constitute some hundred affairs,
and those who are anxious for life everlasting,
should above all

My friends, we are all monitored in this ways according to this famous book.
As long as we never do bad things, we should not worry at all. Only those who have no shame, they will get what he supposed to get sooner or later.
Please do not take it lightly thinking that doing bad deeds can escape from all these. If you are thinking that, you will regret one day and it is too late. This is the sincere reminder. If you are stubborn, you will get burned.

That means whatever we do good or bad, we can not escape from the reward or bad luck.
Our term of life can be reduced if we do many sins.
Misfortunes always fall on bad people.
This is the great reminder. So please do many good deeds to prevent bad luck coming. Everyday I read newspapers , it seems that bad people are arrested and charged in courts to face the music.

Rich man's life

Mr.S was the very successful businessman. He had been selected for the top post in China few years ago. Although he seem like a person of bright future but he died at the age of 30 overs years old.
Why he died so early because of his wealth. When he had a lot of money, his desires became more and more. He had three different women at that time.
One day he felt very weak, he went to see the Chinese traditional doctor Mr. Pang. Mr. Pang was the skillful doctor. He observed him and did some analysis.
Doctor Mr. Pang told Mr. s:" Your body weakness is because of excessive sex, if you continue do that, your legs will become dumb and cool. one day your legs will be amputated. You have to stop having sex for 2 year to prevent your body becomes worsen.'
Mr. S never believed it and continued to have excessive sex with his three women. Half a year later Mr. S called doctor Mr.Pang:" Doctor, what you said was right, my legs is dumb and cool, any solution?"
Mr.Pang told Mr.S:" I had told you before and now you have the signs, no cure already.'
Few months later, Mr. S died at the age of 30 over years old.
My friends, Mr. S had shortened his own life because of his excessive desires. What was the point of having wealth and lost the life so early? He was reducing his luck.

Situation study one

On 13-12-2010 at about 1020hrs, Mr. Push, one of the operation executives of security agency firm- Superman agency guard services, called Mr. Cool that the auditor was proceeding to the site for security audit in half an hour. Mr. Cool is the assistant security supervisor working in the commercial building. This commercial building is using Superman agency guards to guard the building.
Mr. Push told Mr. Cool to get preparation on that audit check. Mr. Cool did not know about audit check because he had never encountered before. On that day happened that security supervisor was on leave, the in charge on that day was Mr.Cool.
Let's see one interesting thing happened on that day.
Everyday there are many visitors come to the commercial building. There are some consultants always come to the buliding for some specific project either for short term or long term basis.
A consultant firm B company has about 10 consultants. Every times when they want to go to their office to work, they need to go to the security counter. Security need to issue consultant pass to them.At about 1050hrs, the auditor Mr. Cunn came to visit the building. The auditor asked Mr. Cool how you verify the consultant. Mr. Cool said:" we will check their identification paper before we issue consultant pass to them."
Take note: As the matter of fact, most of the time security just ask the consultants:" what is your pass nos and then issue the pass to them. Because security officers are too familiar with them, security officers never counter check their identification papers.
One that day, a lady consultant approached Mr. Cool for the consultant pass. Because of the auditor near the security counter, so Mr. Cool asked the consultant:" Could you show me your identification paper? The consultant Miss Alice said:" How come you ask for my ID, all the while security officers never ask me.'
Miss Alice gave her ID unwillingly and continued saying:" I am using my colleague's pass for a long time.
Mr. Cool felt surprisingly and wondering. Mr. Cool saw the ID and issued the pass to her.
Miss Alice talks were overheard by the auditor Mr. Cunn.
After Miss Alice was issued the pass and went to the office. The auditor asked Mr. Cool :" How come you are doing such a thing, she is using other colleague's consultant pass, you just simply issue to her. And She said that all the while your never check their Identification paper?.
Mr. Cool was in a daze and did not know why Miss Alice saying this. The auditor told Mr. Cool please do not do this thing again.
After the auditor left the building, Mr. Cool told his security colleague:" Fxxxing hxx, this lady consultant just stupid, she should know there might be some reasons that I wanted to check her ID. She should talk properly when someone beside me. I know we never check on them because we know they are regular but I have to check her because the auditor is here.
His colleague told Mr. Cool :" Next time you need to talk to them if we wanted to check their ID, they should co-operate and just give their ID because auditors might be checking any moment.
Mr. Cool was in angry state.
In the evening, when Miss Alice was returning the consultant pass. Mr. Cool talked to Miss Alice:" How come just now you mention that you are using your colleague pass. You make people confusing, do you know that the person who besides me was the auditor just now."
Miss Alice:" I did not know he was the auditor and I was telling the fact that I was surprised that you were checking my ID Because you never check before."
Mr. Cool:" Alice, We have the right to check your ID."
Miss Alice said:" That means you are going to check on me other day?
Mr. Cool:" I am telling you if security officers ask for your ID, you just give to them, no need to talk more, why just now you were mentioning you are using other people's pass, you are confusing our auditor. your pass nos and your name are in this form, you are the one who is allowed to use the pass. why you were saying that you are using other people's pass. the auditors thought that we simply never check at all"
Miss Alice:" sorry for the inconveniences, do you want me to explain to your auditor?"
Mr. Cool:" No need."

For additional information:
In flat , Miss Alice has her own pass for example pass 1112. She mentioned that her pass 1112 previously was belong to her workmate. Mr. B. For few months the pass nos is designated to Miss Alice.
But her saying ( when the auditor there near security counter )made auditor confusing that security anyhow issue the pass. In flat, security was issuing the right pass 1112. Pass no 1112 and her name Alice is in the consultant pass form.
In short, Miss Alice saying ready confused the auditor and security Mr. Cool. that's why Mr. Cool lost his coolness.

Curses and blessings do not come through gates, but man himself invites their arrival.
The reward of good and evil is like the shadow accompanying a body.....
My view:
Everyday we read the newspapers, we can see so many people were convicted in court. They were committing serious crime like murdering, stealing, sex-related crimes,etc. They were probably sent to prison or fined or hanged depend on the seriousness of the crimes.
Their misfortunes or luck were made themselves indeed. Yes, they were suffering from their own bad deeds.
So, we all must know we are the one decide our own destinies.

Formerly, Zhong Ni,took Xiang Tuo for his teacher.The ancient sages were virtuous,
yet studied diligently.Zhong Ni was one of Confucius' names. Xiang Tuo was a prodigious seven year old.There is a story told of how he refused Confucius' request to move his play fortress from the middle of the road because, he argued, who had ever heard of moving buildings to make way for carriages?
趙中令 讀魯論 彼既仕 學且勤
Grand Secretary Zhao studied the Analects. He, although already an official,
studied diligently.Song Emperor Taizong asked Zhao Pu why he was reading the Analects, a book commonly taught to kids. Zhao replied: "With half of this book I helped your father gain the empire. With the other half I help you to preserve it."
披蒲編 削竹簡 彼無書 且知勉
Splitting reeds and weaving them,cutting bamboo slips.They had no books,
yet knew how to exert themselves.Lu Wenshu was a too poor to be able to buy books. He braided reeds and copied borrowed books. Gongsun Hong cut bamboo slips to do the same.Both men served under the Han dynasty.
頭懸梁 錐刺股 彼不教 自勤苦
One tied his head to the roof beam;another pricked his thigh with an awl.They were not taught these, but came up on their own to toil hard.Sun Jing tied his hair to the roof beam to prevent from nodding off to sleep. He became a minister under the Qin dynasty. Su Qin set up an awl to prick himself awake if he nodded off. He became a prime minister.
如囊螢 如映雪 家雖貧 學不輟
One put fireflies in a bag.another used the glare from the snow.Although their families were poor,they studied unceasingly.Che Yin used the light from the fireflies while Sun Kang used the glare from the snow because they could not afford candles. Both served under the Qin.
如負薪 如掛角 身雖勞 猶苦卓
One carried firewood,another hanged (books from the) horns.Although they toiled with their bodies,they overcame their hardships.Zhu Maichen carried firewood while Li Mi worked as a cowherd while studying. They became ministers for the Han and Northern Zhou, respectively.
蘇老泉 二十七 始發憤 讀書籍
Su Laoquan at twenty-seven began to show his energy,and study the books.Su Laoquan became the Imperial Librarian for the Song dynasty. His son is the famous poet Su Dongbo.
彼既老 猶悔遲 爾小生 宜早思
When already old,he regretted his delay.Like them, the young should think of this early.
若梁灝 八十二 對大廷 魁多士
There was Liang Hao who at eighty-two replied to the Great Hall,and came out first among many scholars.Liang Hao lived during the reign of Song Emperor Zhenzong.
彼既成 眾稱異 爾小生 宜立志
After he had succeeded,everyone called him exceptional.Like them, the young should think appropriately early.
瑩八歲 能詠詩 泌七歲 能賦棋
Rong at eight years old,could compose poems.Bi, at seven years old,could make a poetic essay on weiqi. Zu Rong accepted the official title of child prodigy and was named civil servant at the age of twelve. Li Bi answered brilliantly a poetic challenge of the Tang emperor. He served four emperors at the highest levels. Weiqi is the Chinese board game better known by its Japanese name of Go.
彼穎悟 人稱奇 爾幼學 當效之
They were clever and people called them special.Like them, young students ought to imitate them.
蔡文姬 能辨琴 謝道韞 能詠吟
Cai Wenji,could judge from [the sound of] a lute. Xie Daoyun,could compose poems. Cai Wenji could tell from the sound which string was broken. She lived a difficult life during the Three Kingdoms era. Xie Daoyun was a celebrated poetess. She lived during the reign of the Eastern Jin dynasty.
彼女子 且聰敏 爾男子 當自警
They were girls,yet they were quick and clever.Like them, boys should alert yourselves.
唐劉晏 方七歲 舉神童 作正字
In the Tang dynasty, Liu Yan when only seven years old,was rated a child prodigy
and appointed Corrector of Texts.Liu Yan served Emperor Minghuang of the Tang dynasty.
彼雖幼 身己仕 爾幼學 勉而致
He, although a child,was already an official.Like them, young students, should exert yourselves and concentrate.
有為者 亦若是
Those who work like them, will succeed as they did.

Sanzi Jing

let's study part three of Sanzi Jing. This is the first time I ready go through it.

經子通 讀諸史 考世系 知終始
The classics and the philosophers mastered,read the histories.Examine the connection between the eras,know the ends and the beginnings.
自羲農 至黃帝 號三皇 居上世
From Xi and Nong.to the Yellow Emperor,they are called the Three Sovereigns.

Tang and Yu, called the Two Emperors,one abdicated after the other and theirs was called the Age of Prosperity.[Tang] Yao (2357-2255 BCE)[Yu] Shun (2255-2205 BCE)
夏有禹 商有湯 周文武 稱三王
The Xia had Yu,the Shang had Tang,the Zhou had Wen and Wu;they are called the Three Kings.The Xia dynasty was founded by Yu the Great, the pacifier of the Great Flood (21st century BCE). Wu founded the Zhou dynasty. Wen was his father, who died during the conquest of the Shang.
夏傳子 家天下 四百載 遷夏社
The Xia handed the throne from father to son,making a family of all under Heaven.
After four hundred years,the Xia ended.Xia Dynasty (2205-1766 BCE) Before the Xia, the throne was not hereditary.
湯伐夏 國號商 六百載 至紂亡 Tang ended the Xia,the dynasty was called Shang.
After six hundred years,it ended with Zhou (Dixin). Shang Dynasty (1766-1122 BCE)
周武王 始誅紂 八百載 最長久
King Wu of the Zhou slew Zhou (Dixin).Eight hundred years long;the longest dynasty ever.Western Zhou Dynasty (1027-771 BCE). The 800 years include the period of the Eastern Zhou, when Zhou rule was only nominal.
周轍東 王綱墮 逞干戈 尚遊說
When the Zhous made tracks eastwards,the feudal bond loosened,shields and spears flaunted,wandering advisers held in high esteem. Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770-221 BCE). The court moved east to present day Luoyang.This was also a time of the "Hundred Schools of Thoughts" where teachers, strategists, and philosophers offered their services to the various states.
始春秋 終戰國 五霸強 七雄出
Began with the Spring and Autumn Period and ended with the Warring States Period.
Five feudal lords ruled, seven feudal states arose. Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BCE)Warring States Period (475-221 BCE)

Twenty times the throne was transmitted,in a period of 300 years.The Liang destroyed it,and the dynasty changed.
梁唐晉 及漢周 稱五代 皆有由

The power of the eunuchs unchecked;bandits flourished like a forest.Li Chuang revolted,divine artifacts burned. Li Chuang was a rebel leader who sacked Beijing, causing the Ming emperor to hang himself. The defending general, Wu Sangui, invited the Manchu army into the city to help defeat Li Chuang. They did but then they stayed and founded the Qing dynasty.
清太祖 庸景命 靖四方 克大定
The great ancestor of the Qing received destiny's call; Peace in the four directions,
achieved great stability.Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Manchu.
廿一史 全在茲 載治亂 知興衰
The twenty one histories are complete.They record government disorder;understand prosperity and decline.Republic of China (1911-Present)

Sanzi Jing

Let's study Sanzi Jing part two and see what we can learn something good.
凡訓蒙 須講究 詳訓詁 名句讀-Teach kids properly.
When teaching the ignorant,there should be explanation and investigation.Carefully teach the old [texts],clearly identify sentence and paragraphs. Old Chinese text (as recent as those written in the early 1900s) did not bother with any form of punctuation so properly parsing out the sentences and paragraphs was difficult.
為學者 必有初 小學終 至四書-Step by step learning from basic to advanced learning.
Those who would learn, must have a beginning. The basic schooling finished,they go on to the Four Books.
論語者 二十篇 群弟子 記善言-Learning the wise sayings.
There is The Analects,in twenty chapters. In this, the various disciples have recorded the wise sayings [of Confucius]The Analects are a compilation of sayings and teachings of Confucius (551-479 BCE).
孟子者 七篇止 講道德 說仁義-Learn abut virtue.
The works of Mencius,in seven chapters. speak of the road to virtue,talk about benevolence and righteousness. Mencius is a compilation of anecdotes by Mencius (371-289 BCE). He was a fourth-generation Confucian scholar and second only to Confucius in stature in the eyes of Confucianists.
作中庸 乃孔伋 中不偏 庸不易-Learn about the living.
The Doctrine (Way) of the Mean,by the pen of Kong Ji; the mean does not slant to one side, the way does not change.Kong Ji (also called Zi Si) was a grandson of Confucius. Discusses the importance of living according to the Tao.
作大學 乃曾子 自修齊 至平治-Learn about Self development.
He who wrote The Great Learning was the philosopher Zeng, [its teachings] ranging from developing as an individual to governing in peace.
孝經通 四書熟 如六經 始可讀-Learn about filial piety.
The "Classic of Filial Piety" mastered, and the "Four books" done,the "Six Classics",
can be started. Filial piety was the underpinning for Confucian society. Every person was expected to behave according to their position in the family and society. Failure to do so would result in chaos.
詩書易 禮春秋 號六經 當講求-Learn how to analyse.
The Book of Poetry, the Book of Documents, the Book of Changes, the Rites of the Zhou, the Book of Rites, and the Spring and Autumn Annals are the Six Classics
which should be explained and analyzed.
有連山 有歸藏 有周易 三易詳-Learn about history.
There is the Lian Shan,there is the Gui Cang there is the Duke of Zhou,such are the three systems which elucidate the Book of Changes.The Book of Changes (or I Ching) is an ancient classic of Mysticism written in the 8-10th century BCE.
有典謨 有訓誥 有誓命 書之奧-Learn about history.
There are standards,there are instructions, mandates,there are oaths, orders,
such are the mysteries explained in the Book of Documents.The Book of Documents (History) records events reaching back to the time of the Yellow Emperor through the Xia and Shang dynasties.
我周公 作周禮 著六官 存治體-Learn about the culture.
Our Duke of Zhou,wrote the Rites of the Zhou,in which he established the six classes of officials thus giving form to the government.The six classes were: Heavenly Ministry (Prime Minister), Earthly Ministry (Public Affairs), Spring Ministry (Rites), Summer Ministry (Military), Autumn Ministry (Penal), Winter Ministry (Public Works).
大小戴 注禮記 述聖言 禮樂備-Learn about rites.
The Elder and the Younger Dai, wrote commentaries on the Book of Rites.
They published the sages' words,and set in order ceremonies and music.
曰國風 曰雅頌 號四詩 當諷詠-Learn poetry.
We speak of the Airs of the States (Guo Feng), we speak of the Minor and Major Odes (Ya) and the Songs. These are the four sections of the Book of Poetry,which should be chanted over and over.The Book of Poetry (Songs, Odes) contains approximately 300 songs and poems.
詩既亡 春秋作 寓褒貶 別善惡-Learn valuable books.
When the age of the Book of Poetry ended,the Spring and Autumn Annals were produced.
These Annals contain praise and blame, and distinguish the good from the bad. The Annals recorded events in the state of Lu, one of several that comprised China as the Zhou dynasty disintegrated.
三傳者 有公羊 有左氏 有彀梁-Learn valuable books.
The Three Commentaries: there is that of Gong Yang,there is that of Zuo
there is that of Gou Liang. Commentaries on the Annals.
經既明 方讀子 撮其要 記其事-Learn something good from the ancient books.
When the classics are clear, read the philosophers.Pick out the essentials,
and remember their facts.
五子者 有荀楊 文中子 及老莊-Learn about famous philosophers.
The five philosophers:there is Xun, Yang,
Wen Zhongzi Lao Zi (Lao Tzu), and Zhuang Zi (Chuang Tzu).Lao Tzu (5th century BCE) wrote the Tao Te Ching.Chuang Tzu (4th century BCE) wrote the Chuang Tzu.

Sanzi Jing

Sanzi Jing is the three-Character Classic. Although this classic was used many years ago for all Chinese children. Due to rapid social development in recent years, people had neglected the text for about 50 years.
Now, there are many social problems because children were not instilled the good traditional values. This is the good sign that some wise people start to teach Chinese children this classic.
Frankly speaking, I had no chance to learn this classic during my childhood. I only know about this classic recently.
Let's learn this useful classic today.
Part one- the basic belief in the inherent goodness of mankind, the importance of education, filial piety, and family and social relationships.
人之初 性本善 性相近 習相遠
People at birth, are naturally good.Their natures are similar; their habits become different. (Note the fundamental difference between Confucian and Western Christian thought. Confucianists believe that people are born pure while Western Christians believe that people are born sinners.)
Coolingstar9: My friends, we just look at the babies, they are so innocent. But how come when they grow older, just say 16 years old, they are all different. Some behave very good, some behave like the hooligans. Although they are the same, I mean innocence as babies but what they learn from year one decide their behaviour. Their habits good or bad all because of " learning". What is your view about this?
苟不教 性乃遷 教之道 貴以專
If, negligently, not taught, their nature deteriorate. The right way to teach, is with absolute concentration.
昔孟母 擇鄰處 子不學 斷機杼-Great mother taught her son Mencius the right value.
Formerly, the mother of Mencius chose a neighborhood. When her child would not learn,
she broke the shuttle from the loom. Mencius' mother moved her residence three times to avoid bad influence for her son. She remonstrated to her son by ruining a piece a cloth she was weaving to dramatize the effect of lack of diligence on studies.
竇燕山 有義方 教五子 名俱揚-Father Mr.Dou raised his five sons properly.
Dou Yanshan, had the right method. He taught five sons, each of whom raised the family reputation. In the tenth century, Dou (Yujun), raised five sons, all of whom passed the Imperial Examination.
養不教 父之過 教不嚴 師之惰-Great responsibilities as the teachers and parents.
To feed without teaching, is the father's fault. To teach without severity, is the teacher's laziness.
子不學 非所宜 幼不學 老何為-Kids must study well when they are young.
If a child does not study, it is improper. If he does not study while young,
how will he act when old?
玉不琢 不成器 人不學 不知義-Through studies, kids know what are right and wrong.
Jade that has not been polished cannot be used. Person that has not studied cannot know righteousness. This couplet also stands alone as a Chinese proverb.
為人子 方少時 親師友 習禮儀-Kids must learn proper manner when they are young.
Being a human child, there is little time. He should engage teachers and friends;
and practice etiquette.
香九齡 能溫席 孝於親 所當執-Kids must take care parents.
Xiang, at nine, could warm (his parent's) bed. Filial piety towards parents,should be carried out. Huang Xiang, one of the 24 classic examples of the filial piety, would cool down his parents' bed in the summer and warm in the winter. He became a prime minister.
融四歲 能讓梨 弟於長 宜先知-Kids must learn how to respect eiders.
Rong, at four, could yield the (bigger) pears. To behave as a younger brother towards elders, is one of the first things to know. Kong Rong, a descendant of Confucius, would yield the bigger pears to his elder brother.
首孝弟 次見聞 知某數 識某文-Learn how to love parents first.
Begin with filial piety and fraternal love, then see and hear. Learn to count,learn to read.
一而十 十而百 百而千 千而萬-Kids must learn mathematics.
One to ten, ten to a hundred, a hundred to a thousand, a thousand to ten thousand.
三才者 天地人 三光者 日月星-Kids must absorb knowledge.
The three forces: heaven, earth and man. The three lights: sun, moon and stars.
三綱者 君臣義 父子親 夫婦順-Kids must learn human relationship.
The three principles: duty between sovereign and subject, love between father and child, harmony between husband and wife.
曰春夏 曰秋冬 此四時 運不窮-Kids must learn the environment.
We speak of spring and summer, we speak of fall and winter, These four seasons revolve without end.
曰南北 曰西東 此四方 應乎中-Kids must learn the nature.
We speak of north and south, we speak of east and west, These four directions depend on the center.
曰火水 木金土 此五行 本乎數-Kids must learn about the universe.
We speak of water, fire, wood, metal and earth. These five elements have their origin in the numbers. These are the five basic elements in traditional Chinese alchemy. The second sentence probably refers to the association of the basic elements with ying and yang interactions, which are usually represented by numbered trigrams.
曰仁義 禮智信 此五常 不容紊-Kids must have all the good values.
We speak of benevolence, duty, propriety, wisdom, and truth. These five virtues must not be compromised.
稻粱菽 麥黍稷 此六穀 人所食-Kids must learn about foods.
Rice, fine millet, beans, wheat, glutinous millet, and common millet. These six grains are those which people eat.
馬牛羊 雞犬豕 此六畜 人所飼-Kids must learn about human life.
Horse, ox, sheep, chicken, dog, pig. These six animals are those which people raise.
曰喜怒 曰哀懼 愛惡欲 七情具-Kids must know the human emotion.
We speak of joy, anger, we speak of grief, fear, love, hate, desire. These are the seven emotions.
匏土革 木石金 與絲竹 乃八音-Kids must have the knowledge about music.
Gourd, earthenware, skin, wood, stone, metal,silk, bamboo, yield the eight musical sounds.These are the materials used to make musical instruments.
高曾祖 父而身 身而子 子而孫-Kids must know the development of the generation.
Great great grandfather, great grandfather, grandfather, father and self, self and child, child and grandchild,
自子孫 至玄曾 乃九族 人之倫-Kids must know about the family.
from child and grandchild, on to great grandchild and great great grandchild.
These nine generations that make up your family.
父子恩 夫婦從 兄則友 弟則恭-Kids must know how to have harmony in the family.
Kindness between father and child, harmony between husband and wife, friendliness from elder brothers, respect from younger brothers.
長幼序 友與朋 君則敬 臣則忠-Kids must know how to get along with people.
Precedence between elders and youngers, support between friends, Respect from the sovereigns,loyalty from the subjects.
此十義 人所同-Kids must know all obligations.
These ten obligations, are the same for all.

Everybody has good nature

Part one- we all have good nature
Although there are different view on human nature. I believe everybody has the good nature.
Once we are born, we are like blank paper. Our brain start to absorb new things. Especially before 3 years old, the absorbing and memory power are extremely strong. Some wise parents will instill good values to them, this is ready the smart move.
Although everybody has the good nature but kids can learn habits easily when they are young. Good habits or bad habits decide their future.
When we open newspaper everyday, we can see so many people committing a lot of crimes because they have no strong foundation on moral parts, that's why they have to suffer from their own bad deeds.
If we parents never teach them properly, then we should not have kids at all. What is your view?
Part 2- Clear away illusions
Last post, I have mentioned that I was the 3 years old blogger. I have the wild thought then. I thought to stop blogging unless I have 100 comments on my last post.
Mr. konwayeast jokingly said:" That sounds like blackmail! I love it! Age ain't nothing but a number. COOLINGSTAR9 has the knowledge of a man with blog experience of a million years." At that time I thought :" Since I want to celebrate the 3rd years of blogging, then I have to wait until the dream come true. I have to keep my promise that I only can continue writing once I have received total of 100 comments on my last post- title- stop stealing."
Very soon, a blogger friend gave me some tips, he said:" coolingstar9, you know, you don"t have to get 100 comments to be a worthy blogger cs9"
Hearing that, I instantly realise this was my illusion. I immediately drop the idea and now I am feeling so relaxed.
Let go is the secret of happiness. What is your view?

No manners and your view

Mr.Havoc was the cleaner. He was transferred to other place because something happened.
Do you know why? Let me briefly tell you. In the working, he like to see girls especially beautiful one. One day, he was cleaning in the first floor of the building, the lady pass by. He smelled the perfume and took a look. He thought like that :" Wow, so beautiful, if I can hug her, I will be very happy." He then open the mouth and whistling " Hui Hui, Hui Hui..." The lady's reaction was not good, she felt annoyed.
Ring ring ring, Someone called his cell phone, Mr. Havoc replied:" Supervisor, OK, I am proceeding to second floor to clean up the gymnastic.
While he was reaching the gym. Wow, the same lady was in the gym. The lady thought that Mr. Havoc was following her. She thought that this Mr. Havoc might be trying to do some decent things, so Immediately she call the building management head and complained the incident.
Very soon, Mr. Havoc's supervisor rushed to the scene and told Mr. Havoc :' You can not work here any more because........"
Mr. Havoc immediately escorted out from the building. He could not work there any more.
You see, no manner could be that serious.
What is your view? Did Mr. Havoc deserve the treatment like that.
For your information, Mr. Havoc was sacked by the cleaning company after he was transferred to other place. Reason: whistling.

Stop stealing

Yesterday when I was back home from work. In the bus interchange, the male stranger about 40 years old talked to me. The conversation were as follow:
Stranger:" Hi, are you going home from work? "
Coolingstar9:" Yes, I am going home now. How about you?"
Stranger:"I just lost the job because I was sacked from the present job."
Coolingstar9:" Too bad, that means you have to find the other job?"
Stranger:" Yes I am going to nearby industrial estate looking for new job. I am regretting because I had stolen some chocolate from my warehouse. I was the storekeeper to take care the warehouse then."
Coolingstar9:" You supposed to safeguard the store. Why you stole it? You like chocolates? This was not that expensive products."
Stranger:" Frankly speaking, I worked as the storekeeper there just for two months, I was stealing chocolates just to give my working colleagues."
Coolingstar9:" How come people know that you were stealing?"
Stranger:" Because I told many colleague and they also saw it. I thought that they wouldn't complain, because they all looked friendly."
Coolingstar9:" Did you ask for pardon or appeal?'
Stranger:" From the response from my manager, I knew it was too late because too many people knew I was stealing chocolates many times. I knew those talkative women doing and spread it."
Coolingstar9:" Did they give you advice not to steal?"
Stranger:" No, they never say anythings but complain it behind."
Coolingstar9:" Wow, I hope you must stop your stealing habit now."
Stranger:" Yes, this was the lesson for me. Do you want to look for the new job. Since I was sacked, there is one vacancy for this post-storekeeper. The salary is $xxxx. Five days a week."
Coolingstar9:" Thanks, I will consider it."

Positive all the way

My workmate Mr. Silvam shares with me some thoughts this morning. He say:" If we are facing obstacles, do not be agitated. We should remain cool or take it easy." I tell him that all surely have problems either big or small.
He further say:" If someone ask:" How are you?", Please do not answer :" I am not good>" even you are not that good. Because if we say " no good ", our mind will ready become no good."
I tell him:" Yes, we have to turn all negative thoughts to positive one." He say:" Yes, you are right."
This is the short conversation between us this morning.
Mr. Silvam have changed a lot, I believe it is because he has more clearer mind than before.

The art of living

Blogging is ready fun. Through interaction, we all can learn much knowledge. My previous post attracted quite many comments.
One of the comments set us thinking. The commentator was Miss Timetthief, She said:" Do no deliberate harm is my first priority. Buddhists believe that our attachment (craving desire within) to witness or to be a part of specific outcomes, as well, as our aversion to other outcomes is the cause of unhappiness. In other words, happiness is a choice we make between our ears based on our attachments and aversions to specific outcomes."
Yes, we have to reduce detachment of many kinds because many attachments are ready not necessary. Do you know what type of attachment that we need to let go? Before we leaving this world, we have to ready learn the art of letting go....if not, we will be too late already.
Timethief said :" When there is a sequence to our thoughts, they have as their object either something pleasant or something unpleasant. If the object of our thought sequence is pleasant we begin reacting to the thoughts with liking that grows into craving, a clinging, an attachment. If it is unpleasant, we begin reacting with dislike, which develops into a rejection, a hatred, an aversion."
Wow, this saying is so useful. Reducing the comparison of many things is so important. Do not like all illusions ( like or dislike ) blind us. We ought to reduce our illusions in order to have ore peaceful life.
Timethief said:" The opposite of allowing things to be as they are is trying to change things to align with our attachments, and there are very few things we have full control over. Allowing things to be as they are is about choosing to become detached, yet, keenly mindful and living a conscious life in the now moment. That's what I endeavor to do but I'm not always successful.

Clear all obstacles in life

Life is full of obstacles. In the family, in the working places, we bound to face a lot of obstacles.
Many people will feel down or worries when obstacles come. If we can not clear these obstacles, we will feel depressed and find that life is miserable.
How to clear all these obstacles, yes, we can do it.
Firstly, we must have the right mindset in the first place. What are the right mindset? My thinking is as follow for your reference.
1. Do not hurt anybody. Why? because of not hurting any human things, we can feel peaceful in our heart. If we can extend the love to non-human being like animals willingly, we will be blessed beyond our imagination.
2. Tolerance-when we hear somebody talking bad about us, take it easy.

Encourage each other

My colleague Mr. Raghbir have changed a lot since he practiced Yoga. Before that he was a very hot-temped person, he liked to argue with people. He was very arrogant and always thought that he was always right. Frankly speaking, nobody liked him because of his character.
One day one of his colleague advised him to learn yoga to better manage the life. He then attended the yoga talk and became the member.
I am happy to see him now a different person. Yesterday he told me that he wanted to have zero anger.
Of course this is not that easy to have zero anger but I believe that he can gradually reduce it. For me, I encourage him and share with my knowledge to him selflessly. Through sharing, I myself also have much improvement on many area.
In this world, there is so many ways to upgrade ourselves. The goal of all faiths is almost the same. Life will be better if we know how to manage our emotion. Let's apply our wisdom in our daily life. Discard all the wrong and bad thought from today, then we can be ready happy. Time to wake up now because we have no much time left in this world. If we do not want to do good deeds now, then we are ready wasting time in this world.

2012 end of the world?

Recently, many people talk about the end of the world is in the year of 2012. For me, I think it is unlikely, do you know why?
This was the prediction from one particular tribe. According to their calender year 2012 is the final year of their calender. That means that there is no calender for them after that year because the world ended.
But it is just the prediction from ancient time. It is unlikely unless many people doing many evil acts.
Actually the solution is rather simple. I, you, he , she and each individual just do many good deeds, do not do bad deeds like killing, stealing, improper sex, telling lies, taking drugs or all other degrading activities, get rid of greed, hatred, etc. Then we have many more years to live.
Mindset decide our destiny in this earth. If people doing good deeds, then the positive waves can dilute the negative waves.
But if the negative waves ( many people doing bad deeds ) more than positive waves, then we all have to say bye bye to each others.
But I believe the world will carry on because there is still many good people in this world.
Do you want to do many good deeds or you want to do evil acts, this is your choice. If everybody want to do good deeds seriously, then we will be blessed for sure.

Singapore national day 2010

Wow, time is running very fast, Singapore national day is coming soon on 9-8-2010, this is the 45Th anniversary.
These few weeks, I can see many planes flying on the sky. Many residents are putting national flags to celebrate.
Looking back, the small island went through so many struggles yet we still can survive. This is because of the hard work of both government and all residents in Singapore. In year 1965, we were separated from Malaysia, at that time many countries doubted whether Singapore could survive or not. The then prime minister said:" We will survive."
The undaunted mindset of the leaders and the diligence of residents are the main factor why Singapore can survive until now.
Although Singapore has no natural resources but we have manpower resources. Singapore is now the corruption free country. We always take risks and try new things and go globally with high confidence.
I appreciate all these and would like to contribute to my country. I just do my part doing my job properly.

Habitual problems

Yesterday I took MRT ( Train )home. I saw " reminders" inside the train as follow:
" It's not cool to bully. It's not cool to litter."
" Got fined. Gt CWO ( Corrective work order to clean up some designated places ) too. Now I'm a litterbug fool." " Do the right thing. Let's bin it."
Wow, you see! this is the good reminders from the enforcement body National Environment Agency.
My friends, with so many reminders, why enforcement officers still can manage to catch so many people littering?
I think this is the habitual problem.
If we all have right mindset, we should not litter. So, we wouldn't be fined ( few hundred dollars).
Remember few hundred dollars can be very big amount for poor families here.
So, we should do all the good things in life.

Great inspiration

When I hear the news that Singapore's Table Tennis teams ( Feng Tianwei, Wang Yuegu and Sun Bei Bei ) beat world No 1 China 3-1 in the World Team Table Tennis Championships, I was overjoyed.
As you know China Table Tennis women team are always very strong that no other teams in the world can beat them for 19 year.
But Singapore women's team, ranked No 2 in the world finally beat them. Singapore had failed many times before that, for example they lost in the 2008 final and the Olympic final to the Chinese. Because of undaunted fighting spirits, Singapore finally become champion.
Just now I go to view the matches on Youtube, I can see how confident Singapore team.
Singapore's world No 2 Feng Tianwei, always want to be world no.1, her dream finally come true.
After the victory, the team manager said:" A lot of times, when we met them in the finals we lost 3-0, 3-1. But we kept telling them (Singapore players) that one day, we should be able to beat them....So, during the training, we kept drilling this into them - to have this mindset that we're able to beat them, because we felt that without Zhang Yining, it's one of the best chance to win them...A lot of times, some of them, when they meet China players, they tend to feel that there's a gap between them. If you watch today's match, you can see that Tianwei was even trailing in the first match. She was fighting for every point...That makes a difference, because....(in) Tianwei, you see the fighting spirit, and when she won the match, it really gave a lot of confidence to Yuegu going into the second match. She has also never beaten that China girl before..So I think that makes a lot of difference, because suddenly, they felt that, hey, the past doesn't count, that although we have lost so many, many matches, it's like a fresh start."
This successful story telling us that we can be success if we do our very best. How about get rid of our bad habits? The answer is we can if we want.

Cultivation is very very important

My young brother visited my home during the lunar new year eve. He has four kids age between 13 years old to 5 years old. Out of these four kids, the 5 years old son makes him headache. It is because this kid is very playful most of the time. This 5 years kid is studying in kindergarten. The principal of the kindergarten told my younger brother that the kid was so naughty and the school has lost the patience and hope. The Principal said that this 5 years old kid always disturb other kids like kicking, extending his legs while kids walking. The principal advised my younger brother to send this naughty boy to other kindergarten.
Hearing this, I told him that I might be able to coach him. These two days, my younger brother sent his naughty kid to my home, I taught him for three hour each day.
How to teach this 5 years old kid? I revised the student guide and do some planning work and I hope I can instill some good values to the child. My training was as follows:
The first day, I took out the student guide and we recited the first chapter together. After that I told him the ancient filial story about the child who was very taken care of the mother. I asked questions related to the story and repeated the questions again and again. My intention is to let him how the handiwork of the parents and we had to be the good kids so as not to let parents worry.
After that, I let him saw the DVD, the same story and again asked him the similar question. My intention is to strengthen his understanding on the good values.
The second day, I asked him many questions and let him answered. I corrected his answer if he had answered wrongly.
My questions to this 5 years old kid are as follow:
1. Do your father busy in work everyday?
2. Do your father feel tired after work? Why he is so tired?
3. What type of children are considered good kids?
4. While talking, small kids should talk loudly, softly or totally soundless?
5. Why we should not fighting?
and many other questions.
During the coaching, if the kid was naughty, I quickly wrote down his faults and told him immediately.
Surprisingly, I found the kid actually was so understanding. With my patience, I strongly believe he will definitely become the good boy.
My friend, if we can cultivate him at this age, he will be able to lead the healthier life later.

Joyful life

Helping others without thinking ourselves is the truly joyful thing in our life.
Everyday we should appreciate all people surround us whether they are good people or bad people.
If we see people quarreling, we immediately examine ourselves whether we still angry or full of hatred or not. We constantly change ourselves if we have any.
If we read newspaper about people committed suicide because of gaming. We immediately examine ourselves whether we are still greedy or have any gaming habits. We change it if any.
If people telling us that we're doing the good job. We immediately examine ourselves whether we're ready doing the good job. If not, we have to work even harder.
We appreciate everybody whether they are bad or not. We do our best to advise people who had dome something no right. We encourage those who have good habits, hope that they continue the good habits.
We do my best to put down our selfishness. We want to have harmony not only ourselves but others. We want to have harmony with all living things, nature.
All these make us joyful most of the time.

Protect our eyes

Today, I am going to tell you something about the importance of protecting your eyes. If we know how to protect our eyes, we will be blessed. Believe me, this is for your own good.
My friends, our brain are incredible. Please imagine this, If you see the word " lion ", immediately the lion image will be appeared on your mind, am I right?
At the same time, all information about lion are appearing on your mind immediately.
Why I am telling you this? I want to let you know just a word " lion " can trigger your memories about lion almost immediately.
So, how about your eyes seeing some tempting photo/ video? I can tell your that all the information, good and bad,ugly and evil things related to that photo or video will immediately appear on your mind.
My friends, during the time you seeing or after seeing, you know very well that your mind are working like the wild fire, all the wild thought will appear in your mind.
This memories will be kept inside your brain forever and become your " force ".
This force will likely to lead you to dangerous zone. How many people able to not affected by this? Almost impossible unless you have very positive force. If not, even you see the sign " Danger, keep out ", you mind just don't bother. Then you will be the slave of desires. Our mind are working something like that.
So, that is why some wise people don't see such photos, bad video, bad magazines,etc.
I hope all of you know how to protect your eyes properly.
You know very well that I am saying that because I love all of you.

Do you always pass the test?

All of you are blogger or readers and I believe some of you always pass the test, examination from primary school until university. Some of you had failed one subject or more subjects during your schooling years.
Why made you fail the subject? either you never study, can't understand,etc. But teachers surely gave your the scheduled date for test or examination. So, we all had ample time to prepare. With concentration and ample time to prepare, we could pass the test.
My friends, in our daily life especially now we are all adults. There are many tests for us at any time. This means we do not know the scheduled date/time for test.
Do you pass the following tests daily?
1. Anger management test.
2. Free from greed test.
3. Free from temptations test.
4. Moral test.
My friends, if we never prepare, more likely we will fail the above tests. If you want to live happily, we have to pass this tests daily?
What is your view?

Great shame of all

Since we were born, our parents have taken care us unconditionally. If our parents never took care of us, we surely die. Just for this one particular reason , we can say that it is the great shame not to reply their kindness. We can not take it lightly because if we can not do that, we ready not human and we are worse than beast.
Filial to parents is what every son/daughter " must do ", there is no bargain or excuses on that for whatever reasons.
Please establish the right mindset-sincerely and unconditionally love your parents. This is not just giving some money to our parents but giving them warmth. For examples, spend times to talk to them, washing their legs, etc, etc. you should know what are their like, you should full fill their wishes. The point is to make our parents smile. Making them smiling always is what we must do.

Do not harm animals

My friend told me that he is now no longer harming animals. Why made him doing this is because he had watched the film " Why we should not eat animals? "
We can see how cruel human beings treating animals.
1. Killing shark-Fishermen use the sharp knife to cut the shark fan. After that, they put back the injured shark to the sea. The shark will surely suffer many hour before death.
2. Killing sea lion-The hunter use the hard stick to beat the sea lion. After the sea lion is motionless, the hunter quickly cut the sex organ. After that, the hunter throw the sea lion to the icy water. Wow, can you imagine how suffering these sea lions have to endure before death?
3. Killing whale-use the big net or using canon to kill the whale. Let the whale drowning until death.
4. Killing monkey-cut away the top of head and eat the living brain. The monkey keep on screaming.
We can see how cruel human beings. All these people with no compassionate heart are the pitiful people, why?
They will surely get the cruel treatment somewhere sometimes. Why? The law of nature will not spare them, these killers will get the fair treatment and have the chance to experience the pain or great sufferings one day because they ask for it.

Good films actress

Do you like to be the actor or actress? Many people would like to be actors or actress because they want fame, money, etc.
But what type of roles they are acting?
Sadly to say, these actors or actress performing lots of violent act, sex and many unhealthy scenes.
Do these films helping audiences building up positive mindset? The answer is no. They are doing bit by bit to pollute people' mind especially those teenagers will badly affected. All these films only lead people to the path of evil.
There is the actress made up her mind not to act all these roles any more.
What made her change her mind?
This was because she had attended the talk about traditional moral values. She now already the very good woman. She had changed her fate.
My friends, if you want to be actor/actress, please do not act those roles that can influence or spoil people' mindset. You can act those roles that can lead people to the path of brightness. Please do not pull others to the hell.

Guide them, please

There was the real story. Mr. A had committed some serious crime and was convicted in the court. Mr. A was given with death sentence.
Prison officer asked Mr. A :" Do you have any appeal or request?"
Mr.A said:" I want to see my mother."
When the mother came to the prison, Mr.A talked to the mother:" I want to eat your breast." Wow, the mother ready opened the shirt and Mr. A came near to the breast and bite her nipple until it dropped.
Mr.A said:" Whatever I want, you always give me. Now, I am about to die and you still doing that, why you never teach me moral values at all since I was born?"
What is your view?

Be mindful of temptations

Student guide say:" When you see others do wrong, immediately reflect upon yourself. If you have made the same mistake, correct it. If not, be extra cautious not to make the same mistake.
My thought for today.
If you have the husband/wife, love her wholeheartedly. Do not think of having affairs with other ladies. Once the affair is exposed somehow, miseries will follow and it will not only affect yourself badly and whole family as well.
Because it will create many problems for you, your family in the present and future.
1. If you do that, then you have lost the loyalty towards your husband/wife completely.
If you do that, then you are not the moral person anymore and you worries will come one day and you will meet miseries any moment.
2. Affecting your children badly
Because of your bad deeds, your children will not respect you anymore because you have shown very bad examples and they might follow your footsteps in the future.
3. Divorce is the outcome
When this happen, your kids will become problem children sooner or later. Their unhealthy mindset will lead to many society problems.
4. Shameful to the whole family including parents
So, do not easily fall to the trap of temptations and lust. I know this is very difficult for some people with no strong moral background but you have to be mindful at all times.
Note: In the century, human beings have become worse, they just like to chase about bodily excitement and they have forgotten all the moral values. Some are just follow one or two moral values but addicted on the very sinful activities that they think that were alright. I have to say that those who do too many bad deeds will be regretful one day. They might meet with accidents, miseries,etc. If you want to have luck, the only way is doing good deeds.

Harmony starts from me

If you want to have truly peaceful life, then we should ponder these few things?
Do you always angry why people treating you badly?
Do you always dislike people most of the time?
Do you always worry many things even trivial things?
Do you always thinking of having lots of money but using immoral ways?
Do you always want to show off that you have much money, branded cars, branded clothes?
Do you always jealous about others better than you?
Do you always want to take revenge if people treat you badly?
Do you always drink beers, going home in late night?
Do you always thinking having more lovers are the beautiful things in life?
Do you always chasing all types of enjoyment like going to night clubs?
Do you always neglect your parents, husband/wife, children and family?
My friends, having peaceful life can only be achieved if we have harmony within ourselves.
Harmony starts from me.

Good media director

Mr.Lee is the good media director, he was very worried because media rarely produce good programs that can lead people to the path of brightness but the opposite. Why? It was because the media producers only concern about size of the audiences. The producers just want to attract more advertiser. They concern only profits but they have already cross over the minimum moral standard. Mr.Lee said that there was only one TV station purely provide good programs in China.
In order to spread the goodness, he started the family program called " Parents under the sky " in year 2004. He wanted to promote " filial " because filial is the root of morals that can prevent people going to the wrong ways. Many teenagers are influenced by bad or tempting programs that prevalent in most of the countries.
Surprising the program " parents under the sky " attracted so many audiences that he never expected. His original plan was targeted to those ages between 40 years old to 60 years old. But he had received so many letters from the teenagers and young people. They expressed the appreciation that these type of programme ready touching them. Many people started to take care and love their parents after viewing these type of program.
This was indeed the positive development since then.
In March 2007, the government published the whole page-promoting traditional good value, take care of parents on People daily. This was one of the breakthrough in government policies.
My friends, I personally had seen these programs and found that there were so many touching scene and I would like to share the stories in my future posts.

Good prison officers

I have read the report about the prisoners' rehabilitation process in Hanan, China.
The head of the Hanan prison department was the rare caring officer. One day, he had the deep thought why the same prisoners always in and out the prison several times. He had asked one prisoner why? That prisoner said:" I come here because I was arrested by policemen. I am just not lucky enough." It seems that most of the repeated prisoners still never change their behaviour and bad habits.
One day, the teacher told the head of the prison department that there was the institute in Mainland China teaching the student guide, the teaching might be able to change the prisoners' mindset.
The head went for the course for few days and found that the course was ready useful. Then the head sent all the prison warden and workers for that course.
After attending this course, all the prison officers became so caring. These prison officers apologised to all the prisoners that they never took care them well in the past. The prisoners all felt touched because of respect given by prison officers.
Because of the love given by the prison workers, the prisoners have changed a lot. later, the volunteer teacher came to the prison to teach these prisoners the right values in life.
The prison department show respect to all prisoners and do their best to instill good values and help prisoners' families financially as well.
Because of the love and teaching, most of the prisoners were touched and better better people.
My view: Prison officers should ready take care and love prisoners. Prison officers should show good examples themselves.
Only " love " can change them.

Good doctor

The medical advancement is developed greatly but many people seem like not healthy in this century. This shows that human beings facing lots of health hazard. Sometimes what we get the information about the health matters not necessarily be true.
Student guide say:" A truly virtuous person is greatly respected by others. He will not be afraid to speak the truth and he will not fawn on others."
Mr. Pang is such a good doctor. He is sharing his experiences about the health issues. He highlighted some critical medical problems as follow:
Nowadays, if we turn on television, we can see some advertisement showing half-naked photos or video. Many television programs talking about husband/wife having lovers and many sex-related issues with exposed photos or video. When we go to the shopping centres, we can see all types of advertisements showing ladies with improper dress. If we surf Internet, so many unhealthy site can lead children to the dangerous zones if they never cautious. Even the medical book also spreading that masturbation is not harmful to body.
All these confusing women/men relationship and discussion only bring harm to people and children. It seriously pollute children's mind and lead them to the dangerous path.
One of the Asia country has 1 million young people who can not work and become the useless people because of the bad influence-corrupted foreign culture.
Do these young generation have the bright future?

Darkness and brightness

I have read so many real stories on books and DVD. I have seen so many people those who were so bad in the past but they had been changed to the good people. They graually given up all their bad habits. Besides that, they started reminding or teaching other people to do all the good deeds because they did not want other people following their past journey of darkness.
I am so happy to see many people shared their journey of turning bad habits to good habits.
Some people doing bad because their parents or teachers never taught them or did not know how to coach them in the past.
Some people mixed around with bad people and followed them doing all kinds of bad things.
For those bad people who had changed to the better people, they had the new mission. They had the conscenice and they started spreading the goodness. These people are commendable.
If you have bad habits, you wouldn't change unless you understand the need to do it. But if you understand, you can change. You should graually change it.

Lead the children but not controling them

Chinese lunar new year is around the corner. I wish all of you have the prosperous new year2010.
I like to share with you how the good teacher giving unconditional love.
Mr.Ong is the teacher with true compassion.He shows the very good examples to his students. As the teacher, he behaves like the teacher.
He knows very well that this is his responsibility to educate children well. He leads the students towards the path of brightness. He not only teach them the knowledge but also how to be the moral people so that they know what is wrong and right. He is leading them but not controlling them.
In year 2006, for some reasons he had the chance to attend the seminar about the traditional values and also learning the student guide. He was so happy because he now knew how to train his students to be the good students, good sons, good daughters.
The student guide provides Mr.Ong the ample knowledge so that he can learn and show live example to his students.
Today, I like to give you how Mr.Ong turns the criticising session into discussion.
One day, two primary students were fighting outside the classroom, a student quickly reported it to Mr.Ong. Mr.Ong arrived the site and observed that it was the small fighting and argument. Luckily both students were not injured. In order to let students understand and change the bad habit, he turned criticising them into discussion session. This self education ready worked well.
Mr.Ong led the two students to the classroom and let them voiced out whatever inside their mind. Mr.Ong listened to them attentively but he never scolded or canned them. After they voiced out what they had inside their mind, other students started talking.
At this moment, Mr.Ong asked both of them to analyze their faults. They took turn said:" If I never do that. we both wouldn't fight with each others."
After that, Mr.Ong told all students to take out the student guide from their bags. Mr.Ong told them to check which faults they were committing.
Wow, students were so focus and looked through the student guide. A student raised up his hand said:" I know, student guide's quote says-when siblings are careful with words and hold back hurtful comments, feelings of anger naturally die out."
The other student raised up her hand and said:" I know, student guide's quote says-when your body is hurt, your parents will be worried. If your virtues are compromised,your parents will feel ashamed."
One student said:" I know, student guide say-siblings who keep harmonious relationships among themselves are being dutiful to their parents."
My friends, through these discussion all students learn to treat each others like brothers and sisters. The Harmony surely will bring smile to the teachers. The students are treating teachers as their parents as well.
Mr.Ong had done the good job. Since then no fighting happened in that class.
My friends, if we are teacher, then we should be like Mr.Ong, caring ,loving. I think if every teacher like Mr.Ong, our students will be blessed. If we never lead them properly, one day these students will blame you for not teaching, guiding them.
Wow, Mr.Ong is ready the good teacher and I believe all students under him will appreciate his love forever. I salute Mr.Ong and all teacher like him.

Let go all your anger

Life is ready precious and we should treasure it. I had been written blogs for two years and my passion for writing motivation blog still exist.
Recently I have read many articles about anger how can affect one's life. I will share it out in my next posts.
My friends, everyday you might encounter something that annoy you. Somethings that worry you and you feel so stressful. Perhaps you can handle it quite well and keep all your worries inside your heart.
My friends, even your worries kept inside your heart or mind, your health will be greatly affected.
How to solve all these problems, yes you can.
Please change your mindset now. Forget all people who had annoyed you in the past, forgive them wholeheartedly and unconditionally. For those you had annoyed them in the past, you should repent yourself wholeheartedly.
Do not keep any anger in your heart from now on, my friends, your life will be changed immediately.

Time management

Let's see the quote from the student guide. " When you realize that the time is passing you by and cannot be turned back, and that you are getting older year by year. you will especially treasure the present moment."
There is an old Chinese proverb: " A unit of time is as precious as a unit of gold, but you cannot buy back one unit of time with one unit of gold." It means that time is ready very precious, as no amount of money can buy time.
My friends, this was the reminder of ancient people. Looking back, did you spend your time wisely? Did you do something that can ready make you truly happy everyday? Think it over and create your new destiny if you still haven't done yet.
For me, I have the plans related to time management as follow:
Spend time wisely
I will concentrate on my full time job and will not spend anytime on chasing money on others because I want to spend more quality time on more important matters.
I will spend most of the time to improve myself in many areas like
building up the better relationship with others in the family, working places,etc.
Personally I will not spend time on watching or reading those television program/ newspaper that contain lots of colorful yet tempting materials because I do not want to be trapped.
I will do my best to help others whenever I can like giving seats to elderly, talk to those lonely old people, help others whenever I can.
I will fill up myself all positive elements and create the new destiny.

Happy journey

I always see the old man walking slowly in our neighbourhood. Today while I am back home from work, I see the old man sit on the bench, suddenly I am thinking one of the quotes from student guide.
The quote state that serve your uncles as if you are serving your parents. So, I come near him and greet him. He is so happy and our conversation lasted more than twenty minutes. This is the wonderful experience and I am going to make it the habit from now on.
He tell me that he is now 80 over years old and living in his son's house. Every day he needs to walk to maintain activeness. He tell me about his life and his family.
After twenty minutes, I tell him that I have to go home. He smilingly telling me to have the good rest. I feel like he talk to me as if I am his son.
My friends, it is so good to talk to the old people, the joy is beyond my imagination. Please try it if you have not done this before.
Yes, this is part of my happy journey in life.

Cautious in work

Most of us are employees, we all have to work cautiously so as we can work longer. There were few examples that some employees got disciplined because of neglecting something or treat many things trivial. They are thinking that doing such things will bear little or no consequence.

Happy new year to everyone

Do not produce poison

Our planet covered by water, it is about 70%. Quite similarly, our body has over 70% is water. Can you imagine if the water in our body is polluted, surely we are not healthy.
Besides healthy mind, healthy body is very important to everyone of us.
According to the specialist's scientific experiment, water has reaction if it receive the message of goodness. The Crystal of water become beautiful.
The kid died immediately after his mom breast feeding. Did you know what was the cause of his death. It was because his mom quarreled with someone before breast feeding him. That milk had poison.
The other experiment show that the gas produced by the hot-tempered person. The gas from the mouth can kill the white rat because the gas contain poison.
So, anger can pollute your water in your body, your health will be affected greatly by anger. It is useless to exercise if you always angry.
That poison name anger is very dangerous for our life.
Anger like the fire which can burn ourselves as well as others. Anger make us lose the cool. Many conflicts, war, killing, stupid acts ,etc all because of anger.
Anger make our body weak as well. Please control our emotion properly so as we can live longer and healthier.
My friends, please do not produce poison in your own body.

Follow path

If you had studied Geography before, you will surely know there is nine planets in the universe. This nine planets follow their orbit, so that it can operate smoothly without any collision.
Imagine if the nine planets never follow the designated path, misery will follow definitely.
Just look at human, the situation almost the same.
Remember the milk incident in China last year. [Please refer to my previous post Life is precious http://coolingstar9.blogspot.com/2008/09/life-is-precious.html ]
This was because these businessmen never follow ' path ". Either they never learnt the moral education or simply ignored this. Their mindset were just making money and totally never taking care people' health.
So, the outcome was death sentence for some of them.
My view: If we want to prevent misery to us then we have only one choice-follow path or moral whenever we do.
This is my sincere reminder to people.

Side effect

Do you wonder the advancement of technology and economic development have some side effects? The side effects are as follow:
How come the divorce rate is always increasing?
How come more people having sickness like cancer, heart attack, high blood pressure, diabetic,etc?
How come more people committing crimes?
I think this is due to human mindset towards materialism.
They do not have proper eating habits.
Education fails to instill the right values?
There are few type of education like family education, school education,etc. If the family education, school education, society education all fail, then " End education " at prisons will be the last one. It is more difficult to change the person if he is in prison, but " End education " is still needed.
If family education, and school education can ready instill the right values then our next generation will be blessed.
This post is just for you to ponder. What go wrong?

Practise makes perfect

My dear friends, if you follow my posts closely, you will notice that I had been writing about the student guide from April 2009 to September 2009. Why I wrote so many topic about the student guide was because one of my friends told me to write some goodness. He handed over a book to me. I told myself no matter how I had to full fill his wish, so I spent the time to read and gave my ideas also.
I was so happy that I finally completed the work. I never expected that I was benefited a lot while writing about the student guide.
Now, I am going to share with you some story about those who had learned the student guide, the obstacles they faced.
Let's hear the story of Mr. Hu.
Mr. Hu wanted to have the meaningful and happy life, so he learnt the student guide. Basically, the student guide is the ethic lesson for small kids but it is good for adults who had no chance to learn the moral education in their childhood. For adults to learn the goodness, they need to fully comprehend all the contents fully and practise it in their daily life. Without practice, it is totally useless.
Mr. Hu started learning the student guide since year 2007, almost two and half years. He was sharing with us his learning experiences. He told us honestly that he had applied it wrongly in many areas but he corrected it from time to time. Now the learning of student guide had transformed him to the better person, better businessman. His relationship with family members, employees is improved greatly. Because of the joyfulness, he is now giving talks to businessmen, ordinary people the path of happy living as the " normal human ".
My friends, Mr. Hu is the person who previously living so miserable although he had earned lots of money. Now he is ready happy because he is the " normal human " now.
Note: Many people living so called the normal life, but what is normal life and abnormal life? Time to ponder this........What type of life you ready want?
