Today, I read the local Singapore newspaper that the man who had the PhD from Stanford is the taxi driver in Singapore. His name is Mr. Cai Ming Jie, he quit the scienticfic job earlier but was unable to find the suitable job. Finally he became the taxi driver.
Yes, In life, we have to quit the old job for some reasons, then we need to find the new job. Sometimes we need longer time to find the suitable or ideal job. Thus, we need to adjust our mindset so as to adapt to the new environment, sometimes we ought to look for much lower pay job. It is nothing wrong to be taxi driver because this is the honest job.
Out of curiosity and want to know more about this talented taxi driver, I surf Internet just now, I type " Singapore taxi driver blogger " on Google search and landed in the blog site that mention about him. From the link http://taxidiary.blogspot.com/ , I finally come to his site.
After reading his newest post, I write something there to give him the spiritual support.
I advise him to enjoy the job and always take good care of himself. As you know, driving taxi is the tiring job, you need to drive many hours to earn some income minus the taxi rental fees about $90 daily. I advise him to take the small break in between.
According to the security officer in his residence, Mr. Cai is the friendly, hardworking and courteous person. Can you imagine how working he is? He drives 15 hours daily and goes home to have lunch, dinner. He reaches home to sleep after 2 or 3 am in the midnight.
I enjoy reading his blog posts about the taxi driver's life. From his story, we learn something that we need to adapt to the new working environment, be working and thirsty.
I believe one day he will find the better job in the scientific field so that his talent can be fully utilised.
My friends, temporary setback can be the greater strength for the next journey.
All can be living happily regardless of what job you doing as long as this must be the honest job.
My friends, do you have anything to say?
Best wishes to all of you, be happy always. Let's smile for 5 minutes, see you the next post-the fate of the pencil.
Have the nice day.

have a blessed day friend :)
It is a good thing to be able to "ride the waves" of life and be content with what life throws your way. I will check out his blog. I am sure I will find some inspiring stories.
oh, this is cool. i'll be reading his blog later. maybe he'll be my next idol? who knows?
for me, honest job is good. but somehow i think its pretty wasting for him and the country for not putting him at the correct position which is needed more than the taxi driver. i don't look down at the taxi driver as my brother in law is one of them too.
just that, its not easy to get a PHD and yet you are doing the job that doesn't required much of the brain. doesn't it sounds a bit wasting?
that's just my opinion. no hard feeling ya :)
Very interesting. Yes it does take a long time to adapt and get a new job. I myself would be moving to Singapore soon and probably need a different job before landing my own specialization.
This guy, is determine... he doesn't have the mindset like others "No job.. no work.. *sulk*" or even "no job... rob".
Thank you for sharing this up, I will check his blog in abit :).
Very nice post, it does take time to adjust to a new job and all the things one must learn for the new job.
Thanks for sharing this.
Love and Blessings,
AngelBaby

Faisal Admar,
Like Mr. Cai, he is the talent. Surely he has the plan-- what he is going to do next.
Yes, it is ideal for him to do the job that related to his specialised area.
For the short period of time, he can experience the different kind of life as the taxi driver. It surely will add some colors in his life.
Best wishes to you and have the great day.
ladyviral,
Thanks for your visit.
Yes, it take a long time to adapt to the new job. Mr. Cai has the " flexible mindset ", he doesn't have the mindset like " i better stay at home waiting for the new opportunities."
Best wishes to you and all your family members.
AngelBaby,
