My friends, when you see my post title- thick skin, you might wondering whether am I going to tell you something related to the skin problem. No, I am not going to tell you about it.
What I am going to tell is sometimes we have to be thick skin in life. For example, if you are losing highly paid job, in order to survive, you might be finding the much lower paid job, so you need to be think skin. How about if you have a lot of ideas on how to do business, then you need to find ways to offer to some business partners, etc. You can not be shy to bring out the proposal. Am I right?
Thick skin is something that you do not want to do but you dare to act beyond. That means you have to overcome your fear.
Just give another example, I was thick skin while I was writing last post- Subscribe my feedburner. Because I do something that I usually do not want to do, the outcome is I will be able to get some additional feedburner subscriber. This was the result of being think skin.
But I am thick skin purely just to have the posts sent to readers via e-mail, that's all. Just say If I have 100 visitors now, honestly speaking, not all readers are subscribing but if 10 of them willing to subscribe. From my point of view, it is the happiest thing in blogging.
That's my thought, if you love my post, please consider subscribe my posts through email. thank you so much for your support. I am thinking this- Being think skin can bring some good outcome or negative result?

Sometimes we have no choice and need to step outside our comfort zone.
I remember when I was in direct sales, I have to be thick skin going for home visit and explain to them our information products how can help school students. Because of the thick skin, I had hit the sales target and awarded the camera.

i believe you are referring to "thick skin" in our chinese saying. :) it's true, we can't always be shy n afraid to approach an issue. however, some "thick skin" people can be very annoying, sales person for example? :p

I just discuss the " thick skin " issue with my friend Lati yesterday. He said that thick skin is generally labelled as the person who do things never considering other people' feeling.
I think we should use " determined mind " to replaced " thick skin ". This is the more suitable word to avoid misunderstanding. If not, some people may thick we all " bad thick skin " people.

Yes, in chinese saying " thick face's skin " is refer to a person who is just do not care, do not bother and go ahead with his uncaring attitude towards others.
In that sense, this is not good.
For sales personel, he can use more friendly ways to introduce their business, not necessarily he must use " forces ".
